Back to School Campaign — Pure Love in Giving (PLG)

Back to School is Pure Love in Giving's flagship education initiative dedicated to ensuring that every child, regardless of their socio economic background, has the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed. Many children in underserved communities face barriers such as a lack of school supplies, financial hardship, inadequate learning resources and limited mentorship opportunities.

Through this project, PLG works closely with schools, parents, local authorities, volunteers and development partners to bridge these gaps by providing educational materials, supporting school attendance, promoting literacy, strengthening life skills and encouraging community participation in education.

The project also integrates environmental education and leadership development to prepare young people for a sustainable future.

Goal

To improve access to quality education by providing 200 vulnerable children with essential learning materials, educational support, mentorship and a safe learning environment that enables them to stay in school and achieve their full potential.

Activities

Distribution of school supplies and learning materials.
Reading and literacy promotion programmes.
Mentorship and career guidance sessions.
Leadership and life skills training for students.
School environmental and climate awareness clubs.

Success Stories

Amina, a 13 year old student from a low income family, was on the verge of dropping out of school due to a lack of school supplies and financial constraints. Through the Back to School programme, she received learning materials, mentorship and educational support that enabled her to continue her studies. Today, she is among the top performing students in her class and dreams of becoming a teacher to inspire other children in her community.

Her story reflects the transformative impact of investing in education and demonstrates how timely support can change the trajectory of a child's future.
